I devoured this book - got it on Christmas and finished by New Year's. As both a writer and a wine geek, I have a high bar for what I enjoy reading, and this book satisfied both aspects. The writing is breezy but informative. It doesn't get bogged down in technical terms or just rely on anecdotes. Instead, the author dives into the lives, histories and personalities of the orange wine movement's leaders, giving the reader an idea how all this came about and why it's so important. I've also learned about the cultures and history of the wine-making regions, and you might find yourself (like me) looking for trips to those areas to experience the author's journey for yourself. He also provides a guide at the back of the book of different producers to explore.
