Review
SPOILER ALERT! Ah. This could have been so good, but the hero, Darius, was just too cheesy and cliche'. At first, I was intrigued. He was mysterious and interesting, but suddenly, he became stupid. He declares that he is fond of Lia because she "doesn't bore him." What a winner. Then, he betrays Lia by agreeing to marry her against her wishes. He promises he will keep her maidenhood "in tact." Um.....really? I am embarrassed to type that. Anyway, he further declares that he is only interested marrying for love and wants an equal partnership. He plans to abandon the Roman way and embrace her family's more progressive way of life. I felt like I was trapped in the writer's horribly unrealistic fantasy.
